Assessment Process

Intake Session
Intake sessions at R.G Psychology and Assessments involve meeting the parents of the child or adolescent, or client themselves if conducting an adult assessment, where we discuss current experiences and challenges and how they may be impacting daily functioning. This is a safe and collaborative space where the psychologist can understand the requirements for assessment and discuss assessment package options.

Assessment Sessions
Following the intake, a series of assessment sessions will take place (ranging from one to four sessions, depending on the assessment package selected). Standardised assessment tools, as well as behavioural questionnaires (when required), are utilised to gain a comprehensive understanding of the strengths and challenges of the person undergoing assessment and guide recommendations.

Feedback Session
After the assessment is complete, I schedule a feedback session to discuss the results in a clear and supportive way. I explain the findings, highlight strengths and areas of difficulty, and answer any questions you may have. I provide personalised recommendations—whether that’s school support, therapeutic resources, or strategies to help with learning and daily functioning. My goal is to ensure you leave the session with a clear understanding and a practical path forward.
